Texas Vet Emergency Team

The Texas A&M Veterinary Emergency Team (VET) has been deployed to the Panhandle to provide aid during the wildfires,

The team will provide veterinary care in support of 12 search and rescue dogs deployed with Texas A&M Texas Task Force 1 and to resident animals while also supporting local shelters.

Nine members of the team and five veterinary students left Bryan-College Station for the Panhandle Wednesday, with more team members joining the group Thursday to provide aid to the animals impacted by the fire.

The VET consists of faculty, staff and students from the Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences as well as volunteers from the veterinary profession and beyond.
