Texas Tech University’s Amarillo Nursing School Welcomes First Class

The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center welcomed the first 20 students into the Amarillo branch of their traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program.

The expansion was approved on October 19th by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

Dr.  Michael Evans, the dean of the college, expressed his excitement for the expansion.

With that many students in different locations, updated technology is allowing students to synchronize to the same lesson plans throughout.

This expansion will allow for meeting the demand for nurses for the future of Texas.
