Texas Tech Nursing Program in Amarillo Expanding

An expansion to the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Bachelors Program for nursing has been announced for their Amarillo Campus.

This is expected to raise the pool for qualified nurses, both for Amarillo and beyond. 

The expansion was approved on the 19th of October.

Valerie Kiper has been named the regional dean of the School of Nursing in Amarillo, with over 40 years of experience in nursing.

TTUHSC prepares students from the baccalaureate level all the way up to the doctoral level using a variety of instructional methods and program options. 

Because of Covid-19, it become an ever-increasing need for a large nursing workforce throughout Amarillo and the state. 

This expansion will ensure Texas can keep a steady flow of nurses to improve the demand now and for the future.
