Texas Sports Update

>>Cowboys Host Eagles Sunday

The Cowboys will welcome the Eagles to AT&T Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Dallas has won two straight to get to 5-and-9, which is second in the NFC East. The Cowboys can clinch the division if they win out and Washington loses its last two games.

>>Texans Host Bengals Sunday

The Texans will welcome the Bengals to NRG Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Houston has lost three in a row to fall to just 4-and-10, which is third in the AFC South.

>>Rockets Game Postponed, Harden Fined

The Rockets’ scheduled season opener against the Thunder has been postponed due to positive COVID-19 tests on Houston’s team. James Harden was fined 50-thousand-dollars for violating health and safety protocols by attending a private indoor party on Monday. Three players tested positive and four were quarantined after contact tracing, so the Rockets did not have the league-required eight available players.

>>Mavs Clipped By Suns

The Mavericks tied the game at 100 with 1:56 to go but they couldn’t close it out and were clipped by the Suns 106-102 in their season opener in Phoenix. Luka Doncic had 32 points and eight rebounds but was 0-for-6 from three. Tim Hardaway Junior, Josh Richardson and Jalen Brunson each added 12 points in the setback. Dallas starts 0-and-1 and visits the Lakers tomorrow on Christmas.
