Texas Parks and Wildlife announced grants for parks in the Panhandle Thursday.
Dimmitt in Castro County received a $317,500 non-urban outdoor grant for the Dimmitt Splash Park project. The project includes an accessible route and a recirculating splash pad.
Friona in Parmer County also received a $150,000 small community grant for the development of a splash pad, shade, and site amenities.
Fritch will get 40 thousand dollars in a small community grant for developing a playground at the Fritch Community Park
