Texas Mission of Mercy To Provide Charitable Dental Care to Amarillo

Texas Mission of Mercy, a mobile dental clinic that delivers pain-relieving dental care at no cost to undeserved Texans, will host an event on March 29th-30th in Amarillo.

Patients seeking care will need to arrive by 5:00 AM on either Friday, March 29 or Saturday, March 30 at Amarillo Civic Center to register. TMOM is a first-come, first-served event, and the clinic will stop accepting patients once capacity is reached. Patients must bring their current medications.

Texas Dental Association’s Sara Harney on the purpose and need for the event:

More than 50 volunteer dentists and 300 volunteers from the dental profession, businesses, and community groups will provide charitable care to community of Amarillo and its surrounding area. The services, which are free of cost, include basic, pain-relieving and preventive procedures such as dental cleanings, fillings, and extractions. This TMOM will also be able to provide a limited number of partial dentures so that some patients leave with new smiles.

TMOM is sponsored by the Texas Dental Association Smiles Foundation and supported by the Texas Dental Association.  For information or to volunteer, please contact TDASF Missions Manager Sara Harney at 512-448-2441 ext 203 or visit www.tdasf.org.
