Texas Invest Additional Money In Education

Governor Greg Abbott says the State will invest 123 point 5 million additional dollars in federal funds to support Texas Various educational entities.

The Funds come from the Coronavirus Response and ReliefSupplemental Appropriations Act.

This will be the last allocation of the Governors Emergency Education Relief Funds.

The money will be used for programs like Supplemental Special Education Services, Charter School Incubation, nursing and student nursing, workforce aligned programs, strategicinvestments in student aid, and student financial aid programs.

The remainder of the funding will go to modernize the states educational and workforce infrastructure and to the Commercial Drivers License Program
