TEA Denies Jurisdiction In Complaint Against Mccown

The Texas Education Agency has denied jurisdiction in regard to a complaint filed by Dr. Marc Henson against Amarillo school board member Renee Mccown.

The complaint was filed due to the resignation of former Amarillo High School’s volleyball coach Kori Clements.

It is alleged that Mccown applied political pressure on Clements so that Mccown’s daughter would receive more playing time.

The TEA informed Henson that allegations relating to local employment issues should be filed directly with AISD through the grievance process.
