UPDATE: SWAT Situation Near Texas Panhandle War Memorial

The Amarillo Police Department arrested one man after a SWAT situation at a home near I-27 and Georgia Tuesday morning.

At 7:20 a.m, Officers responded to Rebecca Drive and South Rusk Street for a disorderly person with a weapon. 

The caller stated that 29-year-old Aaron Bo Garcia had fired a gun inside the home with five other people in the home.

When he refused to come out of the home, crisis intervention officers, negotiators and officers with the APD SWAT team were called to assist.

The witnesses were able to get out of the house safely and there were no injuries reported..

At 8:55 a.m., police say Garcia came out of the home and was placed under arrest for deadly conduct charges and booked into the Randall County Jail.
