Suspect Id’ed In Kidnapping Incident

Amarillo police have identified and put in jail a man responsible for a possible kidnapping Monday morning.

Police have 29-year-old Tyler Putch in custody after.they were called out to reportsof a man forcing a woman into a car at Bell Street and Gainsbourough Road.

Whwn officers got ther they tried to stop a Hyundai car but the driver refused to stop and a chase began.

He stopped the car a short time later and ran from police at West Amarillo Boulevard and North Rusk Street

Police had him in custody by 9:30 a.m.

Putch is in the Potter County Jail on charges of aggravated assault with bodily injury, evading arrest, Possession of drugs, Unlawful carry, possession of drug paraphernalia, and also on two local municipal warrants.

The victim has been deemed as safe.
