Suspect Arrested After Attempted Robbery

The Amarillo Police Department arrested a suspect after an attempted robbery in North Amarillo.

At 6:19 am on February 9th, APD officers were dispatched to a business in the 800 block of Amarillo Boulevard on a robbery call.

Once on scene employees told officers that a suspect entered the business and pointed a gun at them demanding money.

The suspect left on foot before anything could be taken and was described as a Hispanic male wearing a brown jacket and blue jeans.

Officers later located a male who matched the suspect description walking in the 1000 block of Amarillo Boulevard and was taken into custody.

19-year-old Jeremias Medina was arrested and booked into the Potter County Detention Center and charged with aggravated robbery and local municipal warrants.
