First Responder Academy

With a completion date set for August of 2024, Sunset Center in Amarillo will become the new home of a First Responder Center.

Currently, criminal justice and first responder programs including EMS, firefighters and police officers are spread out over two different campuses, and the move will centralize the operation, and allow instructors to pull resources and work with these students at one time.

The goal is to provide a more convenient way to bring students the tools to become first responders.

The new facility will include state-of-the-art simulations, high-quality training, and a fire tower for routine exercises and instruction.
