Study Says Husbands Should Work & Women Should Stay Home

A new study found that 25% of Americans believe that men should work while women stay home and take care of the family. The study — done by the General Social Survey, found that 27% fo men compared to 22% of women think it’s better for women to stay home. Republicans, Southern Americans and uneducated people were more likely to feel this way. 30% of Republicans believe that women should be at home, in comparison to 19% of Democrats and 26% of Independents. 32% of Southerners believed that a woman’s place was in the home, in comparison to 25% in the West, 18% in the Northeast and 17% in the Midwest.
