Student Support Services Program Grants To Help Out AC Students

Thanks to a pair of grants from the U.S. Department of Education, Amarillo College will be receiving 2.3 million over the next 5 years.

The grants, provided by the Student Support Services Program, provides academic and other support services aimed at increasing retention and graduation rates primarily among low-income, first-generation or disabled college students.

The STEM Health Sciences Grant will provide $1.3 million to annually support a minimum of 140 allied health and nursing majors immersed in programs based at AC’s.

The Moore County Campus Grant for the next five years will see $1.06 million annually to support a minimum of 100 students regardless of major.
