Stratford School Suffers Break-In Over July 4th weekend

A school in Stratford suffered more than $100,000 in damages after a break-in the weekend of July 4th.

Four teenagers broke into the Mary Ann Elementary School and wrecked class projects, destroyed digital boards and TVs, and more.

The individuals broke in via a maintenance hatch on the school roof, which is now locked at every school and will be checked weekly.

The Stratford community gathered after the unfortunate event to try and help with clean-up.

Stratford ISD Superintendent Dr. Paul Uttley says they are working on getting new equipment and floors before the school year starts in August.
