Stocks Open Flat To End Volatile Year

After an up-and-down-and-up-again year, Wall Street is opening the final trading session of 2020 flat. The Dow Jones Industrial Average set another record high Wednesday.

Both the Nasdaq and S&P 500 are close to their record highs as well. That’s quite a rebound from the record-setting depths investors saw when the pandemic first began.

There’s little change to start today despite stimulus checks reaching Americans’ bank accounts and a better-than-expected jobless report this morning.

All three major indexes are opening less than a tenth of a percent from where they ended yesterday.
