South Georgia Street Drainage Construction

The Amarillo City Council will move forward with an agreement for drainage easement to go along with the South Georgia Street  Reconstruction Project.

Added lanes are being put in along the South Georgia construction and the new drainage system will support the ongoing work. The 30-foot system will help with the drainage with those expanded lanes.  The design criteria are supposed to help with water run-off during rain events.

The Amarillo EDC has been busy working on commercial properties and construction in that area.

 the city says it’s in the land acquisition stage of the project, with bids going out in the next 30 to 45 days with construction starting soon after.
