The good news for U.S. sorghum is that trade with its top export market has been restored with the lifting of that 179 percent tariff China had imposed back in April.
During the five-week ordeal when sales to China were halted, there were certainly substantial losses suffered by our farmers and others throughout the sorghum industry. But, National Sorghum Producers CEO Tim Lust says there were also opportunities to strengthen relations with existing customers and even find new ones:
