Skunk With Rabies Found In Memphis

A skunk was found in Memphis with rabies on Tuesday morning.
The Texas Department of State Health Services said a homeowner observed a skunk in the alley behind his house at about 6:30 a.m. that was stumbling and falling over.
The resident contacted a local animal control officer, who arrived and caught the skunk.
The animal was euthanized and submitting to the lab where it tested positive for rabies.
