Shots Fired After Police Arrive To Party

Officers with the Amarillo Police Department were called out to a party Sunday morning at 12:30 AM to the 1000 block of South Washington Street. 

Several teenagers were seen leaving the area, and gunshots were heard as police were parking. 

The shots were from the 1000 block of Southwest 11th, and officers found a 17-year-old male unconscious in a yard nearby. 

There were no signs of a gunshot wound, and he was treated on location and released to a parent. 

There were several bullet casings in the area, and the investigation is still ongoing.
