Shamrock Traffic Stop Yields Meth

A Shamrock traffic stop netted 80 pounds in Methamphetamine.

At 4:18 p.m. Wednesday, a DPS trooper stopped a car traveling east on I-40 near Shamrock for a traffic violation. During the stop, DPS officials say the trooper found multiple plastic-wrapped packages of meth in the front door panels and underneath the carpet in the rear cargo area.

Twenty-eight-year-old Marcos Moreno-Tirado of California, was arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance. He was booked into the Randall County Jail.

The drugs were being transported from California to Arkansas.
