Shamrock  Drug Bust

An early Friday morning drug bust in Shamrock.

Reports have it that a Wheeler County Deputy stopped a vehicle for running a stop sign at Route 66 and Highway 83.

During the traffic stop, police gained enough knowledge that a probable cause search of the vehicle was carried out.

The search turned up approximately 23 pounds of Meth in the vehicle’s door panels.

Occupants of the vehicle were arrested and taken to the Wheeler County Jail. They were booked on charges of Manufacture or Delivery of a controlled substance over 400 grams.

According to the DEA, the drug seizure has a street value of more than 8-hundred-thousand dollars.
