Northwestern Potter County in the Panhandle of Texas... * Until 330 PM CDT. * At 245 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles southwest of Valley De Oro, or 15 miles northeast of Vega, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Tennis ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor damage to roofs, siding, and trees is possible. People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. * Locations impacted include... Boys Ranch and Valley De Oro. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. This is a dangerous storm.
