Those jerks who are trying to separate you from your hard-earned money have dropped to a new low! 

The Amarillo Police Department has been tipped off about a scam involving The Nat on 6th Street and social media.

A post was made on a group page about a party being held at the Nat for Christmas.

The poster looks legitimate and provided a phone number, email, and QR code to scan.

When a potential victim had some questions, they called the actual Nat and that is how the scam was discovered.

Please don’t pay them any money, and if you already have, please make a police report at www.amarillopolice.org.

 The APD reminds us all to be careful and before you fork over your cash you should double and triple-check the authenticity of a social media post.
