Santa Fe Depot Adding New Pavilion

The historic Santa Fe Depot will add a covered pavilion, on Friday they broke ground.

Adding this new structure will benefit the community and will be designed in a style that respects the history of the Depot.

Mayor Ginger Nelson says this is very important and it’s a win for everyone.

The unnamed space will be completed with a dirt floor this October in time for the WRCA rodeo.

In the spring a concrete floor will be poured to make the space more diverse.

The pavilion will begin work on the concrete as soon as the weather allows and should be operational sometime in the first quarter of 2023.

The pavilion will be adjacent to the Santa Fe Depot between Fourth Street and Fifth Street.
