Salmanzadeh Asks For Trial Continuence

The Amarillo man who is charged with a July 2021 explosion on Lenwood Drive has his legal team asking for more time to prepare for his trial.

Erfan Salmanzadeh’s attornies are asking for a 60-day continuance as well as pretrial deadlines in the case.

Federal Court documents show the U.S. Attorney’s office, does not have a problem with the continuance.

Salmanzadeh’s trial was to begin on June 6th.

Along with the federal charges, he is also charged by the state with possession of components of explosives.

The Initial deadline for pretrial motions had been scheduled for May !6th.
