Ride Sharing and Special Parking Spots Coming To the Downtown Entertainment District.

A final reading was passed for an ordinance to provide authorized special traffic controls for the entertainment district in downtown Amarillo.
The entertainment district includes the MPEV, Civic Center, Globe-News Center and parts of the Santa Fe Depot.

Ride Sharing Vehicles such as Uber and Lyft, Team Buses, Emergency Vehicles, and Equipment Vehicles will be able to park in specialized areas.
This new ordinance will also allow vehicles to park for 24 hours prior to an event and consecutively for multiple days.
