Record November Rainfall Across The Panhandle

You don’t normally think of November being a month in which we get a lot of rain across the Texas Panhandle. However, the National Weather Service says Amarillo, Borger and Dalhart each broke rainfall records with the moisture that occurred Sunday night and Monday. Amarillo so far has received 6 inches of rain, our previous record was 5.06 inches set in 1905. Dalhart has received 3.97 inches and broke a record of 3.19 inches set in 1971. Borger has received 5.84 inches this month and broke a 2004 record of 4.01 inches.
