REA Children’s Parade Along Route 66

Read Across America Week kicks off next week, and Storybridge is celebrating with a Children’s Parade along Route 66.

The Cat in the Hat parade will feature the Tascosa High School Drumline, Thing 1 and Thing 2, and the Cat in the Hat himself.

Kids who would like to participate in the parade can meet inside Heal the City at 5 PM for a read-aloud and a parade hat.

The parade will be on March 1st, at 5:45 on 6th street between Carolina and Kentucky Street.

Read Across America Week started in 1998 and originally centered around Dr. Seuss’ birthday, though the focus now is driven toward motivating children to read a wide variety of books.
