First Case of Rabies Reported In Area

The Randall County Sheriff’s Office is reporting the first case of Rabies in the area involving a skunk.
The Sheriff’s Office is reminding all residents to be aware of animals near your property that might be showing signs of unusual behavior like skunks, raccoons, bats, foxes and coyotes.
Sheriff’s deputies will respond to calls involving high risk animals.
Randall County had 24 confirmed cases of rabies in 2019 including 22 skunks; 1 dog; and 1 bovine.
