Rangers Top Mariners

(Arlington, TX) — The Rangers belted five homers and jumped out to a seven-run lead, but had to hold on to beat the Mariners 10-9 in Arlington. Mike Minor struck out 11 and allowed two runs in six innings to pick up the win. Rougned Odor hit a three-run homer in the five-run first. Asdrubal Cabrera blasted two homers. Hunter Pence and Joey Gallo went deep back-to-back in the seventh. The barrage was necessary as Seattle scored seven runs in the final two innings off the Texas bullpen. The Rangers won for the fifth time in six games.

Lynn Will Start Tonight For Rangers

(Arlington, TX) — Lance Lynn will be on the mound tonight for the Rangers against the Mariners at Globe Life Park. Lynn beat the Mariners on April 28th, giving up a run over seven innings. Left-hander Tommy Milone will be recalled from Triple-A Tacoma and start for Seattle. Our pregame begins this evening at 6:30 on 710AM and 97.5FM KGNC.

Rangers Inducting Hamilton In Hall

(Arlington, TX) — Josh Hamilton is going into the Texas Rangers Hall of Fame. Hamilton is a five-time All-Star and the 2010 American League MVP. He played with the Rangers from 2008-12 and in 2015. That was his last season in the majors before knee injuries ended his career. He will be induced on August 17th before a game against the Twins. Hamilton, who turns 38 today, was the first pick in the 1999 draft, but a drug addiction nearly extinguished his career before making his big league debut in 2007 with Cincinnati.

Astros Shut Out White Sox

(Houston, TX) — Brad Peacock allowed two hits and struck out nine in five innings as the Astros blanked the White Sox 3-0 in Houston. He has allowed one run and eight hits while striking out 24 in 17 innings in winning his last three starts. Tyler White and Jake Marisnick belted solo shots. Roberto Osuna closed it out for his 12th save. Alex Bregman scored in the first on a Carlos Correa fly out. The Astros won for the 11th time in 12 games.

Sod Poodles Drop Game 1 To Hooks

AMARILLO, Texas – The Amarillo Sod Poodles fell to the Corpus Christi Hooks 5-1 Monday night in front of a crowd of 5,353 at HODGETOWN, stopping their win streak at three games. Kyle Overstreet extended his current hit-streak to eight games, but the Sod Poodles offense was kept silent as they collected only one run on six hits. Starter T.J. Weir went four innings allowing two earned runs on six hits while striking out four Corpus Christi batters. The Amarillo Sod Poodles and Hooks will resume their three-game series at HODGETOWN tonight at 7:05 p.m. Right-handed pitcher Lake Bachar will take the mound for the Sod Poodles as he looks for his first victory of the season.

Warriors Sweep Blazers, Advance To NBA Finals

(Portland, OR) — The Warriors are headed to their fifth straight NBA Finals. They outlasted the Trail Blazers 119-117 in overtime in Game Four of the West finals in Portland. Steph Curry and Draymond Green each had a triple-double as Golden State swept the series. The Bucks lead the Raptors 2-1 in the East finals, with Game Four tonight in Toronto.

Blues, Sharks Clash In Game Six

(St. Louis, MO) — The Stanley Cup Playoffs continue tonight as the Blues host the Sharks in Game Six of the Western Conference finals in St. Louis. The Blues lead the best-of-seven series three-games-to-two and can clinch with a win tonight. San Jose would host a deciding Game Seven on Thursday. The Boston Bruins await the winner of this series.

Cowboys’ Elliott Handcuffed In Vegas

(Las Vegas, NV) — Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is facing more off-the-field problems. TMZ has shown video of the Pro Bowler being handcuffed on Sunday at a music festival in Vegas after shoving a security officer to the ground. He was detained, but no charges were filed and he was not arrested. He can be seen arguing on the video with his girlfriend. While he never places his hand on the woman, he uses his body to block her several times from walking away. The Cowboys and NFL are investigating the incident. Even without an arrest, the NFL could discipline Elliott, who was suspended for six-games in 2017 for allegedly physically abusing his former girlfriend although no formal charges were made.

Cowboys Will Open OTAs Today

(Frisco, TX) — The Cowboys will open volunteer OTAs today. Dallas will hold 10 no-contact OTA workouts, including three this week, that end on June 6th. The Cowboys will begin a three-day mandatory minicamp on June 11th. Dallas will play its first exhibition game on August 10th against the 49ers in San Francisco.

Texans Open OTAs

(Houston, TX) — The Texans held their first OTA workout. The 10-sessions are volunteer and with no contact. The Texans have two more sessions his week and wrap up OTAs on June 7th. The Texans will have a three-day mandatory minicamp beginning on June 11th.

Powell To Nix Mavs’ Option

(Dallas, TX) — Several outlets have reported Mavericks forward Dwight Powell will reject his player option for the 2019-20 season and become a free agent. He would have earned just more than ten-million dollars next season and been eligible for free agency after the season. His opt out will end Powell’s four-year, thirty-seven million dollar contract he signed in 2016. Dallas could re-sign him when the free agency signing period starts on July 1st.

FC Dallas Schedules Friendly With Tijuana Club, Former Coach

(Frisco, TX) — FC Dallas will host the Tijuana Xolos in an international friendly on July 7th at Toyota Stadium. Tijuana is coached by Oscar Pareja, who served as the FC Dallas coach for the past five seasons. This is the first meeting between the two franchises.

(Undated) — In The Big 12 baseball tournament tomorrow, top-seeded Texas Tech will square off with Kansas State. Baylor is second-seeded and will play Oklahoma in the first-round in Oklahoma City. Also in a first-round matchup sixth-seeded TCU will meet Oklahoma State. Texas A&M is seeded sixth in the SEC Tournament in Hoover, Alabama and will meet Florida today.
