Prescription Drug Take-Back Coming This Saturday.

By Chuck Williams

The Potter County Sheriff’s office is taking part in the DEA National Drug Take-Back On Saturday, October 23rd from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

If you have any unused, expired, over the counter or prescription meds that you need to get rid of, you can bring them to the Santa Fe Building at 9th and South Polk Street, using the Mani entrance on 9th. This is a new location for the convenience of citizens.

The Sheriff’s office wants to warn citizens that the most abused are prescription and over-the-counter drugs, because they’re easy for young children to get ahold of and try.

All you have to do is come into the building and a deputy will show you where to dump the drugs in the storage box.

Their drug box is always located at the Detention Center at 13100 Northeast 29th Street and is always available 24/7.
