Pres. Trump: $2,000 Stimulus Checks Must Be Approved

President Trump is again insisting that Congress pass $2,000 coronavirus stimulus checks. The House did so yesterday, but the Senate hasn’t taken up the measure so far.
Trump tweeted, “Unless Republicans have a death wish,” they should pass the higher direct payments.
He went on to explain in all caps that the checks currently worth $600 aren’t adequate.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer tried to bring up the bill that would provide $2,000 for Americans, but Majority Leader Mitch McConnell blocked it.
