POTUS Twitter Set To Start At Zero Follows Inauguration Day

The official POTUS Twitter account will start with zero followers once President-elect Joe Biden is sworn in. Biden’s digital director Rob Flaherty made the announcement on Twitter today.
Flaherty clarified this is the social media platform’s decision and not President Trump’s. Twitter will also achieve Trump’s POTUS and White House accounts as well as add 45 to their handles.
People who had already been following the POTUS and The White House accounts will be asked if they want to follow the accounts under the Biden administration.
