The Potter County Sheriff’s Office found four pounds of heroin hidden in children’s toys during a traffic stop on Thursday, May 9.

Special Operations Division deputies pulled over a car on I-40 near Bushland for a traffic violation and smelled marijuana coming from the car.

A search turned up a small amount of marijuana along with four pounds of heroin worth $200,000.

Two males ages 19 and 23 from El Monte, California were arrested and taken to the Randall County Detention Center on federal drug charges.

The heroin was being transported from California to Oklahoma City.
