Potter County Placed Under 90 Day Burn Ban

The Potter County Commissioners Court approved Monday that Potter County will be placed under the 90-day burn ban.

Counties under a burn ban prohibits the creation of any open flames outside including fire pits, campfires, uncovered grills and open burning of trash are all banned because of high fire danger.

Violations to the burn ban can result in a Class C Misdemeanor and could face a fine of up to $500.
