Potter County Drug Take Back

The Potter County Sheriff’s Office is holding a Drug Take-Back on April 30th.

Sheriff’s Office participation is part of the 2022 Spring DEA National Pharmaceutica; Take back Initiative.

According to the DEA and the Sherriff’s Office, the most abused drugs are prescription and over the counter., because they are easy for young children to their hands-on and try and the Potter County Sheriff is trying to combat this.

They are urging anyone with unused, expired, over the counter or prescription medicines you need to get rid of bring them to the Santa Fe Building at 9th and South Polk using the main entrance on 9th, this Saturday.

They are asking that no sharps, aerosols, or inhalers be included.

Once inside the building a deputy will show you where to dump the drugs.

The regular drug box is still located at the Detention Center at13100 Northeast 29th and is available 24/7
