Potter County Crime Sheriffs Office Warns Of Scam

The Potter County Sheriff’s Office is warning the public of a scam.

The scammer calls and claims to be a Potter County Deputy and advised the citizen a warrant was issued for missing jury duty.

In lieu of being arrested for the warrant, the citizen was given the option to pay money over the phone.

 The Potter County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind citizens that they would never contact them by phone regarding a missed jury summons and will not request or solicit money for any reason.
