Phone Scammers On The Prowl For Victims In Hutchinson County

The Hutchinson County Sheriff’s Office is warning citizens of a scam call in the area.
The caller is telling people that a loved one has been arrested for DWI or was in an accident and wants the potential victim to send money for their release.
The Hutchinson County Sheriff’s Office reminds citizens that law enforcement agencies will not call to get citizens to send money for any reason.
Anyone that receives one of these calls is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office immediately.
