Paramount Theater Sign

The iconic Paramount Theater sign will be getting some sprucing up.

The sign is located at 817 Polk Street and will be replacing all the bulbs in it with energy-saving, long-lasting LED Bulbs.

Center City, Xcel Energy, and Skyrite Signage are going in on the signs refurbishment to help celebrate its 90th birthday.

The LED project is part of updating the sign which was restored 16 years ago.

850 yellow and clear flashing bulbs that spell Paramount will be replaced on each side with the new LED bulbs.

The Amarillo Historical Preservation Foundation will pay for any ongoing maintenance while the Polk Street Paramount will pay for Keeping the Paramount sign illuminated on a monthly basis
