Pantex to Break Ground for New Facility

Pantex is celebrating a new addition to their nuclear plant. 

The National Nuclear Security Administration was on hand for the groundbreaking of Pantex’s new Advanced Fabrication Facility, which will further support the plant’s role as the NNSA High Explosives Center of Excellence for Manufacturing. 

The 20,000 square foot facility will also bring together high explosive machining operations from a World War II-era and a Cold War-era building into one modern facility, while also making space for high explosive restoration projects in the future. 

Completion for the AFF is anticipated for late 2023.
