Panhandle Unemployment Decrease

Amarillo has the second-lowest rate of unemployment in the Lone Star state.

That’s from Workforce Solutions, which says the labor force participation rate has increased,  dropping unemployment to a  0.5-point from 3.1% to 2.6%

Across the Panhandle, all 26 counties in the Panhandle Workforce Development Area (WDA) saw reductions in unemployment rates.

With the increase in the labor force, Amarillo businesses could have the ability to be fully staffed.
