Panhandle Rides Opens New Website To Organize Transportation

A new transportation option for those in need will soon begin operation in the panhandle.

Panhandle Rides will be a transit collaboration between the City of Amarillo and Panhandle Community Services, providing rides to eligible citizens in the upper Texas Panhandle’s 26 counties.

Riders can use these services for fixed routes in Amarillo, free rides to COVID testing, antibody treatment, and vaccination clinics, as well as door-to-door rides for seniors.

Transportation will include on-demand service, fixed routes, and additional assistance for riders needing it most.

To schedule a ride, visit panhandlerides.com at least 24 hours in advance.
