A free, on-line Indie Lens Pop Up screening of the film “Coded Bias” will be available Thursday,  March 18 from 6 to 7:30 P.M

The film focuses on how data is used by different watch dog groups to expose bias and discrimination in popular facial recognition algorithms

It particularly looks at how most facial recognition does not accurately identify darker skin faces and the faces of women,

and also follows an investigation of widespread bias in the algorithms that shape the technology of our lives.

The screening will be broadcast on Panhandle PBS will air on March 22nd at 9:00 P.M.
