Panhandle Farm and Ranch Management Symposium Online Dec. 1

Even though the Amarillo Farm and Ranch Show has been cancelled, the Symposium hosted annually by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will take place virtually on Dec. 1.

The workshop fee is $60 and can be paid online, along with event registration. Participants will need the Zoom link to participate, so are asked to register prior to 8:30 a.m. Dec. 1.

Four Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units will be offered – one laws and regulations, one integrated pest management and two general.

The educational presentations will begin at 9 a.m. Topics and speakers will be:

– Soil health research, Jourdan Bell, Ph.D., AgriLife Extension agronomist, Amarillo.

– Integrated pest management panel discussion, AgriLife Extension specialists and Texas A&M AgriLife Research scientists.

– Herbicide label changes/expiration, Scott Nolte, Ph.D., AgriLife Extension state weed specialist in the Department of Soil and Crop Sciences, Bryan-College Station.

– Laws and regulations, Kyle Thompson, Texas Department of Agriculture, Lubbock.
