Pampa Receives Grant

Pampa has received a grant of 350-thousand dollars from the Texas Department of Agriculture to improve it’s downtown area.

The grant program is is under supervision by the TDA with the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The funding will be used by Pampa to address conditions of deterioration in the communities downtown or main street areas.

The money is only available to cities with under a 50-thousand population and allowable improvements include sidewalks, lighting, water and sewer lines and road construction as well as curb and gutter and related drainage.

The first phase will construct new sidewalks ramps, handrails as well as curb and gutter on the east side of Cuyler in the 100-block and the north side of the 100 block of West Foster Avenue.
