Palo Duro Trails Closed

All trails in the Palo Duro State Park are closed.

That’s due to heavy rains saturated the park from the weekend rains.

Friday night and Saturday morning rains caused thousands of Canyo city power outages and dumped over 5 inches of rain on the Canyon rim, with the foor of the Canyon getting over 4 inches.

The heay rainfall caused flooding and a rockslide.

The result forced State Park officilals to close the trails until further notice.
