Over $500,000 In Drugs Taken Off Street

Two people are behind bars facing drug charges after a traffic stop in Carson County on November 5.

The pair were stopped on I-40 at 10:00 a.m. for traveling in the left lane and having a defective taillight.

A K-9 alerted to narcotics in the car and a  search turned $460,000 worth of meth and $94,000 worth of fentanyl, along with a semi-automatic pistol that did not have a factory-issued serial number.

George Daniel Carbajal and Linda Rose April were arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
