One Person Dead After Single Vehicle Wreck

The Texas Department of Public Safety was called out to a single-vehicle crash that claimed a life.

At 3:40 am Sunday Te six miles south of Texline a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado Pick up driven by 53-year-old Manuel Arroyo, of De Queen, Arkansas was southbound on US 87 when it is believed that he had fallen asleep. 

The Vehicle entered the center median and rolled over multiple times ejecting the driver before coming to rest in the middle of the northbound lanes of US 87.   

A passenger 32-year-old Milton Morales-Rivera of Shreveport, Louisiana was transported by air to Northwest Texas Hospital with serious injuries.

DPS officials say seat belts were worn and the crash remains under investigation.
