One Man Dies In Single Vehicle Accident

U.S. 287 Car Crash
A man is dead after hitting a livestock fence on Friday morning in Childress.
The Texas Department of Public Safety said 52-year-old Clinton Louis Doughty Jr. of Hurst was traveling south on Highway 287 at around 4:40 a.m. on Friday morning when for some unknown reason, Doughty entered a ditch and struck a livestock fence.
Doughty died as a result of his injuries. It is unknown if he was wearing his seat belt at the time.
The wreck is still being investigated by the DPS.
